Alpha Aura is a digital portfolio of some of my icons, winamp skins, wallpapers, car renders, and web graphics that I've made. The previous versions of Alpha Aura can be used at the full size now. These previous versions (web graphics) can be used for anything you want. All I ask in return is that you link to me using my button. I know inspiration is very unpredictable and comes and goes very quickly. This is my hope that I may inspire someone in some way to create something new. I have always enjoyed making websites, graphics of all sorts and helping people. My main intention of being a graphic designer was to make graphics that were like nothing anyone has ever seen before and, it seems I have been very successful. I have always taken graphic design very seriously and I'm very passionate about what you see here. I hope the time you spend here gives you at least a glimpse into my creative ability and an understanding of my passion for what you see at Alpha Aura. |

Desktop Icons |

The icons here are only compatible with Windows XP. There are only 4 abstract sets that I have up now. Most of my icons are on my PC. The sizes that are included for each icon are 16, 24, 32, 48, 64, 72, 96, and 128. |

How I make icons |
|
|
First I start out by making an icon in Adobe Photoshop at 600 by 600 pixels. I don't rasterize the vector shapes or what I've made with the pen tool until I reduce the size of them to 72. This means I merge all of the layers at 96 then reduce them to 72. I save all of the image sizes individually as psds.Then I use Microangelo to make the ico file by importing all of the psds I made in Photoshop. |

These are some of the skins that I've made. They are free to download. The Alpha Aura skin was the first skin that I created (I removed it due to the lack of space on this page). You can still download it from this link. After Alpha Aura I made Crystal Clear and Flat Panel. The most recent skins I have made are Alpha Smoothie and Illuminate. |

First you will need the Winamp player which you can get from this page. Next is to save the zip file to your winamp/skins directory. You don't need to extract the files with winzip. |

Rendering a car can be overwhelming at first, but if you start with one part at time it is very simple. for example I start out with doors or the front quarter panel which are easy. Then I move on to the hood if I need to. Then I create the rims. Which I just make the front one then duplicate it and move and resize it to fit rear tire. By then you are into it enough that you can make the rest of the body of the car. Then I make the interior with is very easy because you can have tinted windows on them so you cannot see it most of the time. with exception of convertibles where you should put more time into the interior. Most of these are very different than the actual car so, I don't think there is any harm in rendering a car. |

Some ideas I can give you as to how you can use these web graphics (previous versions) are as follows. You can cut them apart and use as a template. You can use the idea theme or color scheme that I used. You can also link to them if you like. Another thing you can do them is cut out a part that you like and it as a graphics on your page. All that I ask in return is that you link to my main page. You don't have to though. You see I have made over 350 pages. So I don't care about losing 30 of them as I have very little attachment to them anyway. I hope you can find use for these graphics. |

Most of the time when I make new site I make a wallpaper theme to go with it. I've put the most common sizes for screen resolutions. I didn't put in 800 by 600 because in the stats I have gained over the years tell me that only 2% of the people that come to my site even use that resolution. Anyway Windows will just reduce or increase the size of the wallpaper for any resolution anyway. They do look the best when chose the rite one though. |

Tutorial Sites |

I really enjoy going to tutorial sites. As you can see the links to the right are mostly tutorial sites. I think it is probably one of the best elements of the web. Even though most of what I've learned was on my own. I still like learning new techniques and the inspiration that comes with learning different techniques. When do a tutorial most of the time what I get from it is the inspiration to make new. Which is the gift that is priceless. So tutorial sites are useful to anyone at any level. |
